Ryne Duppong ran for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Fosston Greyhounds won 29-18 Friday night at Clearbrook-Gonvick. After a scoreless first quarter, Carver Kroulik connected with Hassani Bruton on an 81 yard touchdown pass to give Clearbrook-Gonvick a 6-0 lead. The Greyhounds would answer with the first of four touchdown runs by Duppong to tie the game at 6-6. Duppong would score his second touchdown with 1:29 left in the second quarter and the Greyhounds took a 14-6 lead into halftime. Duppong scored his third touchdown on a 23 yard run with 2:48 left in the third quarter and Fosston led 22-6 after three quarters. The Bears would draw to within 22-12 when Braxton Bjerke caught a 21 yard pass from Kroulik with 6:03 left in the fourth quarter but Duppong would score his fourth touchdown of the night on a 10 yard run with 1:31 left in the game. Hassani Bruton had five catches for 97 yards for Clearbrook-Gonvick. Fosston overcame 11 penalties in the game. The Greyhounds improve to 4-0 with the win and will host their homecoming game on Friday, September 27th against the Northern Freeze (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Bears fall to 1-3 with the loss and will also play their next game on Friday, September 27th at Goodridge/Grygla (96.7 FM).
