Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons are now 15-3 on the season after a 3-1 win over the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders on Thursday night.

Fertile-Beltrami was able to handle their business in set one and hold off a late LPA comeback in set two but in set three the Falcons would face adversity. As every set went, the third started with back and forth scoring making it deadlocked at 9-9 early. From that point, Lake Park Audubon would go on an 11-2 run to take a commanding 21-12 lead. But Fertile-Beltrami would never give in as they would rattle off their own 11-3 run to make it 24-23 late. Luckily, for the Raiders they would hang on  by the skin of their teeth, 25-23, and extend the match to a fourth set. In the fourth, Fertile-Beltrami would jump out to a 7-2 lead forcing LPA to take their first timeout. That deficit would prove to be too much for Lake Park-Audubon as they would never get any closer then four points the rest of the set. Fertile-Beltrami would win 25-12 and close out the match 3-1.

Fertile-Beltrami is now 15-3 on the season and will host Climax/Fisher next Tuesday. Lake Park-Audubon drops their fifth game in a row, falling to 6-9 overall. The Raiders will play at the Fosston Greyhounds next Tuesday.
