Fosston defeated Rushford 6-0 to take 3rd place at the Minnesota State Division 2 Legion Baseball Tournament in Bird Island. Cullen Norland tossed a complete game shutout for Fosston as they end their season with a 20-2 overall record. Sleepy Eye won their second straight state championship with a 7-4 win over Glenwood-Lowry. Fosston had lost to Sleepy Eye 4-3 in the semifinal game completed on Sunday after being suspended on Saturday night.
