Thompson 3, Cavalier 0  (25-19, 25-23, 25-12)

Thompson’s volleyball team used a balanced offense to defeat a scrappy Cavalier team in three straight sets Monday night in Thompson.

The opening set went back and forth.  With the score tied at 18, a shot by Thompson’s Kloey Huebner was originally ruled out, but after the officials conferred, was ruled in and put the Tommies in front 19-18. Thompson closed out the set 25-19.

Cavalier jumped to a 6-1 lead in set two behind 3 kills by Jocelyn Anderson.  The Tornadoes kept the advantage at 13-7 before Thompson rallied to take a 19-15 lead.  Two late kills by Kiley Huebner gave Thompson a 25-23 win.

In the final set, the Tommies went on a 9-0 to finish the set 25-12 behind 3 kills and 2 aces from Kloey Huebner.

Kloey Huebner had 7 kills and 3 aces for Thompson (19-14, 7-2 in Region 2), while Andie Schwab and Jordyn Tozer also had 7 kills apiece.

Jocelyn Anderson led Cavalier (9-15, 6-6) with 7 kills and a block.  This was Cavalier’s final regular season game.

Thompson concludes its regular season Thursday night with a home game against Central Cass.
