East Grand Forks, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons beat the East Grand Forks Sacred Heart Eagles 59-50 in a West Sub-Section showdown Monday night.

Fertile-Beltrami took the 12-10 lead early and did not trail for the rest of the first half and led at the end of the first 18 minutes 27-19. Early in the second half Fertile-Beltrami was able to balloon their lead to double figures and as much as 14 points at one point. However, Sacred Heart would hang around and make an effort to chip away at the lead. A late three from Isaac Sundby would cut the lead 57-50 but at that point, there was less then :30 seconds remaining and the comeback effort would be halted and Fertile-Beltrami wins 59-50.

Feritle-Beltrami is now 4-1 on the season and will play tomorrow hosting Stephen/Argyle. (1480 AM/99.78 FM KKCQ) Sacred Heart falls to 4-3 with the loss and will be at BGMR on Thursday for their final game before Christmas break.
