The Thief River Falls Prowlers overcame a furious Fosston Greyhound rally and won 52-36 Tuesday night in Thief River Falls. The Prowlers jumped out to an 11-0 lead but the Greyhounds kept chipping away at the lead and would tie the game at 31-31 early in the second half. Braylee Wienen nailed a three pointer to give Thief River Falls the lead for good at 34-31. The Prowlers would close the game on a 21-5 run to remain undefeated at 4-0. Lexi Mahlen posted another double double for the Greyhounds with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Brielle Duppong added 7 points for Fosston as they had their three game winning streak snapped and fall to 3-2 overall. Josie Peterson led the Prowlers with 18 points while Avah Waldal added 16 points and 9 rebounds for Thief River Falls. Thief River Falls won the “B” Squad game 30-13. The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, December 13th when they host Lake Park-Audubon (1480-AM/99.7 FM). Thief River Falls will play their next game on Thursday, December 12th when they travel to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.
