The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds came from behind, built a lead, lost a lead, and then hit some big shots in an overtime thriller to beat the BGMR Gators 62-57.  The Gators led the entire first half building a lead as large as 7 points and would lead at the half 20-17.  Mahnomen Waubun would go on a run in the 2nd half to build an 8 point lead of their own, but the Gators would hit some big shots to come back and tie the game.  Mahnomen Waubun would again build a 4 point lead with under a minute to play, but BGMR would get a layup and a steal to tie the game at 48.  Mahnomen Waubun would turn the ball over, and the Gators would drive down and get a basket with 5 seconds remaining to take a 50-48 lead.  Mahnomen Waubun would inbound, drive the length of the court and Kenley Syverson would come off a screen and hit a 15 foot jump shot at the buzzer to tie the game and send it to overtime.  IN the extra session Mahnomen Waubun would get a fast break layup, and make some big free throws to seal the deal.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 2-6 while BGMR drops to 2-3.
