Badger/Greenbush-Middle River vs Mahnomen-Waubun

In a back and forth battle the Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds controlled the rebounds which gave them 2nd chance opportunities, and a 74-73 win over BGMR.  The Thunderbirds turned up the defense in the 2nd half forcing the Gators into 17 2nd half turnovers, and were able to get to the basket to score or draw the foul.  Mahnomen Waubun built a 10 point lead in the 2nd half, but the Gators were able to hit some big threes to cut the lead to 2, and had a chance to tie or win the game, but their last shot was blocked and after 2 made Mahnomen Waubun free throws the Thunderbirds would lead by 4 with 1 second left.  THe Gators would hit a desperation 3 making the final 74-73.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 1-3 whils BGMR falls to 0-5.
