Demo of Buxton’s Former Hardware Store Delayed Once Again
The Buxton City Council met in regular session Wednesday.
Buxton Mayor, Travis Soderberg, informed the council that the scheduled demolition of the property at 307 Broadway, the former hardware store, currently owned by Dennis Riedhammer of Riedhammer Masonry, LLC, is once again delayed. Soderberg explains the reason for the additional delay.
In other business, the council approved a city-wide street crack sealing project with Advanced Striping and Sealcoating for just over $25,000. Once scheduled, the project should take about a week to complete.
The council also approved hiring Rick Aamold as a part-time city maintenance employee. The council also discussed updating the city’s website. No formal action was taken on the website, but the city will gather more information and bids before the next meeting on Wednesday, November 13th at 7pm at the Buxton Fire Hall.
