Residents of Norman, Clay, and Polk County recently received mailers from the newly formed West Central Regional Water District (WCRWD), resulting in people having questions on what exactly this new district is, and what their goal is. WCRWD board member Lucas Spaeth was a guest on the KRJB Kaleidoscope program, and he told us more about this new Regional Water District survey that was recently sent in the form of a mailer.

One question Spaeth says he has received a lot is the funding of this project, and he explains how it’s funded, and how it differs from a municipal system.

Spaeth also explained how the adoption of rural water would work for people who live in and outside of city limits.

Lastly Spaeth explained what kind of cities may be interested in joining the regional watershed district and adopting a rural water program, and by doing this he explained more on how this system would work.

The full conversation with Lucas Spaeth can be heard at rjbroadcasting.com under the Kaleidoscope webpage.
