School Matters – October 28th
Every Monday morning we hold our School Matters program, and the most recent guest was Beth Shermoen who is the Super Intendent for ISD 361, and she gave us an update on the Referendum which was voted for back in August.
After these groups get to see the construction plans for themselves, Beth Shermoen was then asked what comes next.
Is 2026 the start point for the construction?
And another great aspect of these groups is that the students themselves also get to be involved, and therefore get to have a hand in the process.
ISD 361 has also begun some new initiatives that are set to help students in their class performance.
2 days in a month may not seem like a lot, but Beth goes more in depth of just how serious that attendance statistic really is.
Putting that into perspective, missing 2 days of school means being behind by over a week of classes.
Lastly, we talked to Beth Shermoen about this Halloween, and how the school is getting into the spooky spirit.
She was then asked about her favorite memory from Halloween.
Be sure to listen to School Matters every Monday morning at 9am after the morning show.
