Hong Settling Into New Role on Central Valley School Board

The Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday. Newly installed board member, Curtis Hong, participated in his first meeting. Hong says he’s hoping to continue a legacy of service and participation with the district.

Hong was elected to the board after a September recall of former member, David Seyfried.

In other items, Principal, Jennifer Sundby, updated the board on upcoming events and activities, including the annual student council food drive scheduled for next week and the academic challenge scheduled for November 20th. The board also discussed adding a parent teacher organization and updates to the science labs. No formal action was taken on those items. 

The board did approve a series of CD renewals and Climax-Shelly tuition agreements.
