Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons won their 10th game of the season on Tuesday night after beating the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears 85-63.

Fertile-Beltrami lacked energy and effort in the first 18 minutes of play while Clearbrook-Gonvick did their best to try and pull away from the defending Section 8A Champs leading 24-13 near the midway point of the first. Fertile-Beltrami would put together a 9-0 run to get back to within striking distance before the end of the first half. Clearbrook-Gonvick led 39-34 at the break

In the second half it was all Fertile-Beltrami. The Falcons energy and effort spiked opening up a 12-0 scoring run to take a 46-39 lead and outscoring Clearbrook-Gonvick 51-24 overall in the second half en-route to the 85-63 victory.

Fertile-Beltrami is now 10-3 on the season and will host BGMR on Thursday. For Clearbrook-Gonvick, they fall to 8-3 on the year and will be on the road again Thursday at the Northern Freeze.
