The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons closed the game on a 9-1 run to help them win an exciting game Friday night at Fosston. Preston Hanson led the Falcons with 21 points as the Falcons won the game 62-55. Drew Gullickson added 16 points for the Falcons as they improve to 12-3 overall and 6-2 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Bryer Strem added 9 points and Caleb Stoltman 8 points for Fertile-Beltrami. Ryne Duppong led the Greyhounds with 26 points as Fosston falls to 8-6 overall and 7-3 in the conference. Duppong and Jack Sekely each hit four 3 pointers for the Greyhounds. Sekely and Will Christen each scored 12 points for Fosston. Fertile-Beltrami led 27-26 at halftime and the Greyhounds took the lead at 38-37 with 13:23 remaining in the game. The two teams traded several lead changes after that with Fertile-Beltrami taking the lead for good at 45-43. Fertile-Beltrami won the earlier matchup in Fertile on December 12th 66-54.
