Coaches Vs Cancer At Win-E-Mac
You may have heard about the National Association of Basketball Coaches holding annual games to raise money for Coaches versus Cancer and the American Cancer Society. These games are common at the college level, but next Tuesday, there will be one at the high school level—when Win-E-Mac hosts Fosston in boys basketball. Win-E-Mac assistant coach Nate Johnson says the idea of a Coaches versus Cancer game “happened organically.”
Johnson says each player on both teams will be given placards to sell for $10 apiece and you can write the name of someone who has died from cancer or is fighting cancer or has beaten the disease. He says there will be other ways to raise money for cancer research.
Once again Coaches versus Cancer is Tuesday, February 4 when Fosston is at Win-E-Mac for boys basketball. The game tips off at 7:30 and you can hear it on KKCQ-FM 96.7.
