Fosston at Win-E-Mac
The Fosston Greyhounds pulled away late and picked up the win at Win-E-Mac on Tuesday night 64-56. The two teams battled all night in front of a big crowd at the Win-E-Mac Gym. Will Christen led Fosston with 19 rebounds as the Greyhounds snapped a four game losing streak. Kelton Grey scored 11 points and pulled down 9 rebounds for Fosston as the Greyhounds improved to 9-9 overall and 8-5 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Ryne Duppong added 12 points and Jack Sekely came off the bench to pitch in with 10 points for Fosston. Braylon Hamre led Win-E-Mac with 21 points as the Patriots fall to 7-13 overall and 5-8 in the conference. Hayden Johnson added 15 points and Joe Courneya 9 points for the Patriots. Fosston led 31-25 at halftime and Win-E-Mac pulled to within 58-54 late in the second half but that would be as close as they would get. The Greyhounds shot 12 of 16 at the free throw line while Win-E-Mac was 1 for 2 at the stripe. Fosston only had 6 turnovers in the game while Win-E-Mac turned the ball over 10 times. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 37-34. The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, February 6th when they host the Red Lake County Rebels (96.7 FM). The Patriots will also play their next game on Thursday, February 6th when they host the East Grand Forks Green Wave.
