Brielle Duppong hit seven 3 point shots as Fosston defeated Red Lake County Central 65-55 at the Fosston Gym. Duppong was 7 for 12 from the three point line and led Fosston with 21 points. Lexi Mahlen and Miley Hove each added 15 points for the Greyhounds as they improve to 15-10 overall. Aubrey Halvorson led the Mustangs with 21 points as Red Lake County Central falls to 12-12 overall. Alexa Chervestad and McKaelyn Frizzle each added 8 points for the Mustangs. The Greyhounds never trailed in the game and led 28-18 at halftime. The Mustangs cut the deficit to seven in the second half but that would be as close as they would get. RLCC shot 15 of 19 at the free throw line while the Greyhounds were 13 of 21 at the stripe. The Greyhounds will close out the regular season on Thursday, February 20th when they travel to Warren-Alvarado-Oslo while the Mustangs will play heir next game on Tuesday, February 18th when they host the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons. Red Lake County Central won the “B” Squad game over Fosston 32-29.
