MN Lt. Gov. Flanagan Announces Run For US Senate
Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan made it official Thursday—she’s going to run for the US Senate seat currently held by US Senator Tina Smith. You’ll remember Smith announced last week she would not seek another term in the Senate. Flanagan, like Smith, is a Democrat. Flanagan is a member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe and is the country’s highest ranking Native American woman to hold elected office.
