Fosston at Clearbrook-Gonvick

The Fosston Greyhounds had five players score in double figures as they closed out the regular season with a 77-61 win at Clearbrook-Gonvick on Friday night. Mitchell Mulry led the Greyhounds with 18 points as Fosston won their third straight game and close the regular season at 12-13. Kelton Gray scored the first eight points of the game for Fosston and ended up with 14 points on the night. Jack Sekely came off the Greyhound bench and hit four 3 pointers as he and Will Christen both scored 12 points for Fosston. Jake Howard came off the bench and added 10 points for Fosston. Braxton Bjerke led Clearbrook-Gonvick with 29 points as the Bears end their regular season at 12-14. Hassani Bruton pitched in with 18 points for Clearbrook-Gonvick. The Greyhounds shot 14 of 26 at the free throw line while the Bears were 10 for 20 at the stripe. The Greyhounds avenged a 72-68 loss to Clearbrook-Gonvick in the championship game of the Fosston Holiday Tournament on December 6th. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 50-37. The pairings for the Section 8A Tournament will be released on Saturday.
