Erskine, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots beat the Lake of the Woods Bears 78-39 on Monday night to advance in the Section 8A Boys Basketball Tournament.

Win E Mac’s defensive intensity was at an all-time high Monday night. The Patriots forced the Bears into 18 first half turnovers that allowed Win E Mac to score easily on the other end. Win E Mac led 29-9 with six minutes to play in the first half and eventually took a 51-18 lead into halftime. The Patriots dominance continued in the second half en route to the 78-39 win.

With the win, Win E Mac will play the Red Lake Warriors in the next round of the Section 8A Boys Basketball Tournament.
