A 3-goal Comeback Sends Muskie Girls Hockey to OFSAA

The Muskie Girls Hockey team was in Kenora for the 2024-2025 NorWOSSA tournament for the Semifinals and Finals on Friday and Saturday, February 28th to March 1st.

The Muskie Girls would beat the Dryden Eagles 5-2 in their Semifinals game. The goal-scorers for Fort were Avery Sinclair and the freshman Logan Neurinski with 2 each, and Payton Harbluk with a single. Danielle Schram was the Muskie Goaltender for the win.

For the finals on Saturday, the Muskie Girls would put on a barn burner as they beat St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2. The Muskies were down 2-0 midway through the third period when the scored three times in 2:54. Sayler Easton was the first to hit the net as Bella Fry tied it, and Marissa Kenny scored the winner at 13:53 of the third.

Sienna Tom had 2 assists as Danielle Schram was in goal for the first title for the Fort Frances girls since 2022. The team is heading to the OFSAA all-Ontario single and double A championships in Sudbury from March 18-20.
