Day without Childcare 

On Monday many across the State of Minnesota were raising awareness on the important role childcare plays in our everyday lives, by having people do a thinking exercise about what it would look like if there was no childcare in their area. Karen Devos of  Little Learners Day Care Ada tells us more about this day called “Day Without Childcare”, and she also asks you to try the exercise yourself. 

To give a better idea of the importance of childcare in a rural community like Ada, Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson does the exercise and talks about how having no childcare in Ada would affect everyday life. 

While the State of Minnesota celebrated on Monday, the national “Day Without Childcare” will be held on May 12.
