2 Injured In Crash Near Northwood

Two people were injured when their pickups collided Thursday morning four miles south of Northwood.  The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 2004 Ford F-350 driven by a 31-year-old man from Hatton was westbound on 1st Avenue SE when it ran a stop sign around 7:40am and struck a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by a 53-year-old man from Northwood on 34th Street NE. Both vehicles went into the southwest ditch and struck an electrical power pole.  The Northwood man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.  34th Street NE was closed for a time while a downed power line was removed.  The drivers’ names have not been released.  The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
