A 10-0 run to start the second half built the Ada-Borup West Cougars a double digit lead they would not relinquish in defeating the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets 60-45. With eight lead changes and five ties in the first half the Cougars held a slight advantage at 27-24 at the break. After halftime the Cougars found offensive success both inside the paint and outside the arc to build the lead. The Comets briefly got within single digits of the lead before back to back three-pointers by the Cougars put them ahead 50-36 with 7:45 remaining and the lead would not fall into single digits the rest of the game.
