FARGO, ND – Northern Cass beat Valley City 49-40 in the quarterfinal round of the Division A Region 1 Boys Basketball Tournament.

It’s the first semifinal round appearance in a regional for the Jaguars since 2016. Trey Husar finished with 21 pts and Myles Froehlich added 10 ptoints and 11 rebounds. Northern Cass plays Wahpeton in the semifinals on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. You can listen to the game on yourliveevent.com.

Miken Mattson paced the Hi-Liners with 12 points in the loss. Valley City goes 9-13 overall on the season.
