Seven robotics teams from the Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference will be competing at the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston this week. Alexandria Robotics Advisor Jennie Engel, and Andy Paulson of Perham Robotics tell us what the next few days will look like for the teams in attendance.

There are multiple ways for robotics teams to qualify for state. Engel and Paulson tell us how their teams qualified, and the other ways teams can qualify.

Engel’s team qualified through the IMPACT Award, which is given out for teams that did projects to encourage more of today’s youth to become interested in science and technology. Engel tells us more about her team’s IMPACT project, and why they did it.

Worlds is more than just a robotics competition for those in attendance, as there are many other opportunities for students to learn more about options after high school. Paulson and Engel tell us more.

You can listen to the full interview with Jennie Engel, and Andy Paulson as a part of the Your Live Event Robotics Show which airs this weekend on the Your Live Event YouTube page.
