MayPort-CG 3, Hillsboro/Central Valley 0  (25-18, 25-21, 25-13)

5th-ranked MayPort-CG scored its third victory over Hillsboro/Central Valley in as many games Thursday, sweeping the Burros in 3 straight sets.

Junior Paetyn Strand led the Patriots (15-5-1, 2-1 in Region 2A) with 10 kills…with Kiaza Carlson had 7 kills, one block assist and a service ace.  In all, MayPort-CG had 28 kills, one block, 8 aces and 3 service errors.  Also, the Patriots’ Hudson Zerface had her 1000th career dig in the first set of Thursday’s game.

Hillsboro/Central Valley led the Burros (6-15, 1-6) with 10 kills, 1.5 blocks and a service ace.  Paityn Olson had 2 kills, 4.5 blocks and an ace.  In all, HCV had 22 kills, 6 blocks, 7 aces and 6 service errors.

MayPort-CG will play at a tournament Saturday at Langdon Area-Munich.  HCV travels to Devils Lake on Monday.

MayPort-CG won the JV game 2-0 and the C squad game 2-0.
