Grafton spoiled Thompson’s undefeated start to the season Tuesday, defeating the Tommies in straight sets: 25-22, 25-22, 29-27.  Thompson had won their first 10 games of the season.

The Spoilers (6-6, 1-0 Region 2) had 5 hitters with at least 7 kills and produced 9 blocks as a team.  Senior middle blocker Elle Schumacher had 9 kills, 3 and a half blocks and an ace.  Sheyanne Blackcloud added 10 kills with a block and an ace.  Mae Thompson and Jocelyn DeGeldere both had 8 kills.  Unofficially, Grafton had 44 kills, 9 blocks, 3 aces and 9 service errors.

Senior Abby Olson had 8 kills with a block assist for Thompson (10-1, 1-1) with freshman Vivien Majkrzak adding 6 kills.  Thompson, unofficially had 27 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces and 2 service errors.

Thompson plays at Harvey-Wells County on Thursday; Grafton travels to Carrington Thursday.
