Area Crop Update
We’re in the back half of the month of July, which means we’re approaching the dog days of the 2025 growing season. This time of year can be very important for crop development, and recent temperatures are having different effects on area crops. Jeremy Sather of Agrimax in Fertile says the area Wheat Crop is one that has benefitted tremendously from recent temps.
While temperatures have been great for the wheat crop, Sather says the soybean crop needs more heat than we’ve been getting.
As for the area corn crop, Sather says it should be “just fine”, but it’s still a little early to tell.
