Bagley at Fosston

The Bagley Flyers took a wild first set 28-26 and went on to defeat the Fosston Greyhounds 3-0 (28-26, 25-23 & 25-20) in Fosston on Thursday night. MaKalyn Hoie had 14 kills and 5 service aces as the Flyers finished off a perfect week with wins over Red Lake County Central, Win-E-Mac and Fosston. The Flyers won all three of the matches in straight sets. Mazie Hoie added 8 kills and Elexis Soderstrom had 5 kills as the Flyers improve to 9-10 overall and 3-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Ava Hayes led Fosston with 14 kills as the Greyhounds fall to 6-9 overall and 2-4 in the conference. Hatty Quam added 9 kills and Madison Bailie 5 kills for the Greyhounds. The Greyhounds held the lead early in all three sets but the Flyers came back to win all three. The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 4th when they play at the Perham Invitational. The Greyhounds will play Perham in their first match at 10:00 am. The Flyers will return to action on Tuesday, October 7th when they host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal (96.7 FM). Fosston will host Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Monday, October 6th (96.7 FM). Bagley won the “B” Squad match 2-1 (23-25, 25-17 & 15-8). Fosston won the “C” Squad match 2-1 (25-17, 14-25 & 15-8). It was the homecoming match for Fosston.
