VB Roseau at Fosston

The Roseau Rams won a close first set and went on to sweep the Fosston Greyhounds (25-23, 25-11 & 25-20) at the Fosston Gym. The Rams closed the second set on a 11-3 run and closed the third set on a 9-1 run. Cora Lundbohm led the Roseau attack with 14 kills as the Rams won their fifth straight match and 8 of their last 9. Evy Thingvold added nine kills and Anna Ulvin five kills for Roseau. Emma Howard led Fosston with 8 kills with Ava Hayes adding 7 kills and Hatty Quam and Lexi Illies each recording 6 kills for the Greyhounds. Aubrey Eeg had four service aces for the Rams while Hannah Fonder and Ava Hayes each had two aces at the service line for Fosston. The Greyhounds fall to 5-7 overall while the Rams improve to 10-2 overall with their two losses coming to Thief River Falls (3-2) and Ada-Borup-West (2-0 at the Ruth Hayden Tournament in Ada). The Greyhounds are off until Tuesday, September 23rd when they travel to Moorhead to play Park Christian (96.7 FM & Your Live Event). The Rams will return to action on Thursday, September 18th when they host the East Grand Forks Green Wave. Roseau won the “B” Squad match 2-1 (24-26, 25-12 & 15-6). Roseau also won the “C” Squad match 2-0 (25-16 & 26-24).
