The Lake Park-Audubon Raiders made Parents Night a happy one with an exciting 3-2 (18-25, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16 & 15-7) win over he Fosston Greyhounds in Lak Park. The two teams came in with identical 8-12 overall records so it was expected to be a close match. Kendra Nelson recorded 12 kills for Lake Park-Audubon as the Raiders improve to 9-12 overall and 3-4 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Kennedy Basinger added 8 kills and Kenna Mattson 6 kills for the Raiders. Hatty Quam had 8 kills for Fosston as the Greyhounds fall to 8-13 overall and 3-5 in conference play. Ava Hayes and Emma Howard each had 7 kills for Fosston. The Raiders took command early in the deciding fifth set as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead and extended it to 9-2. Volleyball fans got their moneys worth on Tuesday as the “C”, “B” and Varsity matches all went to the maximum number of sets. Lake Park-Audubon won the “B” Squad match 2-1 (25-22, 19-25 & 15-12. Fosston won the “C” Squad match 2-1 (13-25, 25-21 & 15-11). Brielle Duppong had 4 service aces for Fosston while Hannah Fonder and Hilde Deusterman each had 3 aces at the line for the Greyhounds. Katelyn Smith had 3 service aces for Lake Park-Audubon.
