Rep. Fischbach Introduces HEN Act

Minnesota 7th District Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach has introduced a bill that will increase the mallard population in the US.  Her bill is called “The HEN Act”, because it will refocus money toward building hen houses for mallards with the goal of reviving decreasing duck populations.  The HEN Act will authorize $3.5 million dollars a year in competitive grants for five years for building and maintaining 20,000 hen houses…which will, in turn, produce tens of thousands of mallards across the country.
