Red Lake Falls, MN – The Red Lake Falls Eagles improved to 10-5 on the season with a 3-0 sweep of the NCE/U-H Titans on Tuesday night.

The Eagles set the tone early in the opening set, jumping out to a 10-2 lead and never looking back on their way to a 25-11 win.

Set two proved to be more challenging. A series of miscues allowed the Titans to stay close and even grab a 10-6 lead. Known for their second-set struggles this season, Red Lake Falls had to fight their way back, eventually edging ahead 16-15. NCE/U-H continued to apply pressure, pulling within 23-21 late, but out of a timeout the Eagles regrouped and secured the final two points to claim the set 25-21.

Red Lake Falls again started strong in the third, building another 10-2 advantage. The Titans battled back to make it 14-12, but the Eagles responded with an 8-2 run to pull away for a 25-16 win and the match sweep.

With the victory, Red Lake Falls improves to 10-5 and now turns its attention to a weekend tournament in Waubun. NCE/U-H drops to 1-15 and will host Park Christian on Thursday.
