Park Christian Sweeps Pelican Rapids in Volleyball opener

Park Christian rolled to a 25-8 victory in set 1 thanks to great serving that kept the Vikings on their heels and outstanding front row play from Brenna DeVries, sending back numerous hits in the first set. The Vikings answered in the 2nd set by going on an 8-0 run led by Morgan Korf to take a late 24-23 lead but could not close out set point and the Falcons hang on to set 2 (26-24). The Falcons started hot in the 3rd set on the back of great setups by Kylie West with Siri Messelt, Annika Johnson and Brenna DeVries being the main recipients. Pelicans Rapids closed a 7-point deficit to as little as 2 in the late stages of set 3 but the Falcons held on to win in 3 sets on their home floor.
