North Dakota State Class A Legion Tournament Day Three Recap

FARGO JETS 6 VALLEY CITY 4 (11-innings)

Tate Barnacle goes 2-4 with 2 RBI & 1 run scored for Fargo. The Jets scored 4 runs in the top of the 11th inning to pick up their second win at the state tournament.

Bryson Heck goes 9 & 1/3 innings in the no decision for Valley City. Heck gives up 2 runs, 6 hits, 3 walks & 4 strikeouts with 108 pitches. Valley City finished 22-5 overall on the season.

The Jets will play in a must win situation against Casselton on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

KINDRED 8 BISMARCK SENATORS 2

Kylan Swenson gets the complete game win, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Swenson and Stanley Belaskie scored 2 runs each for Kindred.

Kindred plays Devils Lake in an elimination contest on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The Bismarck Senators go 17-17 overall.

CASSELTON 4 DEVILS LAKE 3 (8-innings)

Casselton tied the game with 3 runs in the top of the seventh inning, capped by a Logan Braaten sacrifice fly. Jack Everson delivered the game winning hit in the top of the 8th inning with a RBI single, scoring Keagan Peterson.

Devils Lake had 18 consecutive innings of shutout baseball prior to the top of the 7th inning in the State Tournament.

Casselton will play in the championship regardless of the outcome against the Fargo Jets on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. The Haymakers are the lone team 3-0 left in the state tournament.
