Hillsboro City Commission approves Preliminary Budget 

The Hillsboro City Commission approved a preliminary budget at their meeting on Monday night. Hillsboro City Auditor Casey Eggermont tells us more. 

Eggermont says there was also a lengthy discussion regarding funding for the Hillsboro Fire Hall, which is expected to break ground this fall. 

There was a discussion about the dedication of tax proceeds at Monday’s commission meeting, which Eggermont tells us more about. 

Other agenda items included council reports, the hiring of a new public works employee, and the approval of a PILOT Application for a new business.
