HOPE, ND – Maple River earned their first win of the season defeating Richland 52-15 on Friday night in North Dakota 9-man football.

Senior running back Preston Downs rushed for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns for Maple River. The Raiders (1-2 overall) earned the first win for first-year head coach Sean Beilke. Maple River travels to Enderlin for their next game on Friday, September 19.

Carson Klein went 10-18 for 140 yards and 1 touchdown in the loss for Richland. The Colts (0-4 overall) have lost 12 straight games and will have a bye week before hosting Enderlin on Friday, September 26.
