Grand Forks Gets Northwoods League Softball Team

Grand Forks is set to become the sixth team to join Northwoods League Softball. The team is set for first pitch in 2026 at Albrecht Field.

Northwoods League Softball will consist of college students looking to get more experience…..much like the Northwoods League baseball.

The team will look to the fans on an official nickname. Fans can submit name ideas now with the finalists announced in September. A public vote will follow through the end of September. 2026 will be the third year of the NWL softball league as Grand Forks joins Mankato, La Crosse, Madison, Minot and Wausau.
