Halstad City Council Meets

HALSTAD, MN—The Halstad City Council set its preliminary 2026 budget at Monday night’s regular Council meeting.  Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson says for now, there will be a five percent increase over last year’s budget.

Johnson says many budget items are projected to be $500 to $1000 more than last year.

Johnson reminds Halstad residents that the city’s Sugar Fest will be held September 27, and the Halstad Fire Department will hold an open house on October 8.
