City of Mahnomen approves preliminary levy resolution 

The Mahnomen City Council approved their 2026 Preliminary Levy at their meeting on Monday night. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther tells us what was decided, and what happens next in approving a final levy. 

Guenther says the council also took a deeper look into their 2026 budget, and she tells us how that’s shaking up. 

During Monday night’s meeting, Guether says the council also heard an update from their city engineers, which included reports on the city’s ongoing projects. 

Gunther says the City Street Department has also been hard at work as well. 

Other items included committee reports, and the approval of advertisement for a liquor store manager position.
