Ada Police Chief discusses the effect of traumatic events on first responders
Traumatic events like fatal automobile accident or suicide can often have lasting effects on a victims family and friends, but one group of people that will often be overlooked by the public when it comes to effects of trauma are our local first responders, whether it be law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs. During his appearance on the KRJB Kaleidoscope, Ada Police Chief Steve Hager talked more about the effect events like this have on first responders, especially when these traumatic events happen close together.
Hager also explains why it could often be difficult to help first responders, who are having problems after experiencing a traumatic event.
