Hillsboro Fire Department promoting Fire Safety during Fire Prevention Week
It’s Fire Prevention Week, and the Hillsboro Fire Department is promoting fire prevention methods that you and your family should be practicing all year round. Steve Haffley of the Hillsboro Fire Department says the first two things you should do this week is check your smoke deters, and do a home fire drill.
Electrical fires are a concern for any homeowner, and Haffley says there are things you can do to lower the risk of an electrical fire in your home.
Campfires are a very popular event to hold this time of year, and Haffley says that you need to enjoy them safely.
