A Norman County man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly attacking another man and robbing him during a domestic dispute.  According to court documents, 43-year-old Jordan Kjos was arrested following an incident that began with a report of a man driving while intoxicated. The Norman County Sheriff’s Office was called to an address in Halstad for the initial report, but found the suspect’s car unoccupied.

A deputy made contact with the man who called, who said Kjos was passed out on the floor of his home. The victim told authorities he was in bed when Kjos, who had been drinking all day, came in and began wrestling car keys away from him. The victim said Kjos took money from his pants pocket along with the keys and shoved him to the ground. When the victim tried to call 911, Kjos allegedly took the phone out of his hand.

Kjos left in the car, but returned while officers were on their way to the scene. The victim says Kjos then drank more alcohol and passed out.  Kjos was arrested and is now charged with domestic assault, tampering with a witness, simple robbery, and interfering with a 911 call. Court documents show Kjos has two previous domestic violence-related convictions in the past 10 years.
