LANGDON, ND – Langdon Area-Munich hung on for a 34-19 win over Northern Cass in the opening round of the North Dakota Division A football postseason.

Jax Johnson finished with 257 yards of offense (127 rushing, 125 passing and 5 receiving) and 3 touchdowns (2 passing and 1 receiving) for Langdon Area-Munich.

Hudson Rietchel went 25-44 for 328 yards passing, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception for Northern Cass as the Jaguars finish the season 6-4 overall.

The Cardinals lead 21-0 early in the third quarter before Northern Cass scored the next 19 points of the game. Langdon Area-Munich had a 70-yard Maddum Stremick pick six to put the game away in the fourth quarter.

Langdon Area-Munich (10-0 overall) will host Hillsboro/Central Valley in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, November 1st.
