Polk County Veterans Service Update 

Temperatures are continuing to get cooler across the region, and area veterans are reminded that there may be a grant that’s available to you, if you have issues with your heating system. Polk County veterans Service Officer Kurt Ellefson tells us more. 

Getting veterans and their families their benefits as quickly as possible is the goal of every veterans service officer, and Ellefson is very happy to say that veterans affairs has drastically decreased the amount of wait time, when it comes to veterans accessing their benefits. 

Veterans Day is next week, and Ellefson is encouraging everyone to show their support for veterans by participating in Operation Green Light, and attending a Veterans Day program near them.
