North Dakota Division AA State Volleyball Tournament Quarterfinal Recap

Bismarck Century 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 16-25, 25-14) over West Fargo Horace

Defending champ Bismarck Century is heading to the semifinal round following a win over West Fargo Horace.

Sylvia Taylor finished with 16 kills as the Patriots play West Fargo Sheyenne on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Bismarck Events Center. The matchup is rematch of the State A championship from last season in which Century topped Sheyenne.

Kendall Mueller finished with 26 digs and 10 kills for West Fargo Horace. The Hawks head to the consolation semifinals against Minot on Friday at 1 p.m.

West Fargo Sheyenne 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-17) over Minot High

Peyton Saxlund finished with 11 kills as West Fargo Sheyenne moves into the semifinals on Friday afternoon.

Brynlie Richman added 30 assists and 7 kills for the Mustangs.

Everette Deschamp finished with 10 kills for Minot.

West Fargo 3-2 (25-16, 25-18, 27-29, 17-25, 15-11) Bismarck High

EDC Tournament champ West Fargo survived an upset bid from WDA #4 seed Bismarck High, as the Packers defeated the Deamons in 5 sets to advance to the State AA semifinals Friday at 5 p.m. 

Ellee McIntosh had 21 kills for West Fargo while Mya Glandt added in 13 kills. Harper Odden finished with 23 assists and Callie Gienger added 22 assists. Raina Chwialkowski led all players with 34 digs.

Bismarck High had four players with double figure kills with Rosalyn Brunelle having 13 kills. Aspen Roaldson had 45 assists and 33 digs to lead the Deamons in both categories.

West Fargo advances into the semifinals Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against Fargo Davies. Bismarck High will play in the consolation round at 3:00 p.m against Jamestown.

Fargo Davies 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-13) over Jamestown

Fargo Davies is heading to the State AA semifinals following a win over Jamestown to wrap up day one of the North Dakota State Volleyball Tournament.

Fallon Passanante finished with 29 kills and Quinn Skari added 50 assists for Fargo Davies. The Eagle have a semifinal round matchup with EDC rival West Fargo at 7 p.m. on Friday in semifinals.

Lucy Falk paced Jamestown with 17 kills as the Blue Jays head to the consolation semifinals against Bismarck High on Friday.
