North Dakota State A Volleyball Tournament Day Two Recap
Dickinson Trinity 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23) over Des Lacs-Burlington
Dickinson Trinity is heading to the fifth place match in the North Dakota State A Volleyball Tournament following a win over Des Lacs-Burlington.
Madi Wegleitner paced the Titans with 17 kills and Annabel Scheeler added 45 assists. Dickinson Trinity will play Thompson on Saturday at noon from the Bismarck Events Center. You can listen to the match on yourliveevent.com.
Piper Feller paced the Lakers with 14 kills as the Lakers play Hazen in the 7th place match on Saturday at 8 a.m.
Thompson 3-0 (25-14, 27-25, 25-18) over Hazen
Thompson bounced back with a sweep over Hazen in the North Dakota Division A consolation semifinals on Friday morning from the Bismarck Events Center.
Danica Gross finished with 11 kills and Addision Sage finished with 17 assists. The Thompson will play Dickinson Trinity in the 5th place match on Saturday at noon. You can listen to the contest on yourliveevent.com.
Lauren Doll paced Hazen with 7 kills as the Bison will play Des Lacs-Burlington for 7th place on Saturday at 8 a.m.
May-Port CG 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-18) over Central Cass
May-Port CG is advancing to their sixth state championship match in school history after defeating Central Cass in straight sets Friday afternoon at the Bismarck Event Center. It is the second championship match in three years for the Patriots who are looking for their first title since 2002.
The Squirrels were led by Isabelle Thompson who had 15 kills and 13 digs, while Abby Kobbervig added 17 assists. Central Cass plays at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the 3rd place match against the loser of Valley City and South Prairie-Max.
MPCG was led by Kiaza Carlson with 12 kills, 12 assists and 14 digs and Paetyn Strand led all players with 13 kills. The Patriots will play at 5:30 in the State A championship against the winner Valley City and South Prairie-Max.

Valley City 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-8, 25-22) over South Prairie-Max
Valley City is heading to the first state championship in program history for volleyball following a semifinal round win against South Prairie-Max.
Kadie Kocka finished with 17 kills and 23 digs while Brynn Lueck added 36 assists for Valley City. The Hi-Liners will play May-Port CG on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. inside the Bismarck Events.
