The Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros got the go-ahead basket in the final minute and held on as the potential game-tying three-pointer from the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies was off the mark at the final buzzer for the Burros 35-32 victory. The Burros forced turnovers on defense and hit the offensive glass to take the lead early and hold a 25-24 advantage going into the fourth quarter. The Aggies ability to get to the free throw line gave them the opportunity to stay in the game and in the fourth they found success shooting from the field with an 8-2 run giving them a 32-27 lead with less than three minutes remaining. From there the Burros did not give up another score while the offense penetrated into the paint for good looks. A three point play on a layup plus the and-1 free throw gave the Burros a 34-32 lead with :36 seconds remaining with the Burro defense forcing a tough looks by the Aggies to not allow a chance at extending the game.

The Burros improve to 7-6 overall and are on a 5-game win streak, they will face Northern Cass on Friday night. The Aggies end their 8-game win streak and fall to 10-4 overall with their next game coming vs Drayton/Valley/Edinburg on Friday.
