The first snowfall has arrived in Northwest Minnesota, and a common sight in the mornings is people starting their cars to warm them up before using them. During his visit on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Ada Police Chief Steve Hager cautioned against doing this if you don’t have autostart, or are in an area where this is prohibited.

Another common sight across the region this time of year is a partially defrosted windshield, and Hager also reminds people to completely defrost their windshield before they start their morning commute.

The first snowfall also indicates that snowplows will be a regular sight soon, and Hager says this means  that people need to be following the City of Ada’s winter parking ordinances, as it can be costly if you don’t.

The Kaleidoscope Program airs weekday mornings at 9:00 on KRJB 106.5 FM.
